Upgrade or Downgrade of account
Find out how to perform an upgrade or downgrade of a cPanel account from WHM. Follow the simple steps to efficiently manage your reseller packages.
Introduction
This tutorial explains how to upgrade/downgrade a cPanel package from the reseller's WHM administration panel
Requirements
- a WHM account
Steps to Follow
- Once logged into the WHM administration panel, search in the top left search box for "Upgrade/Downgrade an Account" and select the resulting option
- in the next window, a list will be displayed with all the accounts owned by the reseller
- in case the reseller has multiple accounts, the search box on the page can be used
- after selecting the desired account, press the "Edit" button located at the bottom of the page
- in the next window, the current package owned by that account will be displayed at "Current Package"
- on the same page, the packages created by the reseller will also be present under the "Available Packages" section
- after selecting the desired package from that list, press the "Upgrade/Downgrade" button
- after the successful completion of the operation, a summary will be displayed that includes the changes made to the account
NOTE: Upgrading or downgrading an account does not affect its dedicated IP address.
